"THE CLASS"


                  The whole setting of this movie was on the classroom. What are the real scenario and situations in the class? It shows on how Mr. Marine handles and perform his duty as a teacher inspite of the behavior and attitudes of the students.

                We as the future teacher we can able to think what our possible strategies that we can apply with that kind of students. If we are on the stage of teaching and we can meet students that have the same scenario in the movie. Students who have different levels of intelligence and they have different types of behavior and culture. There was a student named Esmeraldawho always made argument to his teacher. She is an intelligent student but she was very confident with her ability that leads to her boastfulness she always admit to herself the was much get better than her teacher Souleymane is a type of student who has no interest with his study. He always gets into trouble into his classmate and even to his teacher. He didn’t give respect to everyone and he is always the problem of the other teacher. And we have Khoumba who has the friend of Esmeralda that who is only talking on the class. They are always laughing and having an argument of the teacher. There was one time that he called by his teacher to read but he didn’t obey it instead he made an argument to his teacher. The most behave in the class were we and he was intelligent person. The only problem to him was very shameful because the environment doesn’t suit to him.
                This type of student of student that was mentioned above win be your students in the future, what will you do? As a teacher, we should able to know regarding the classroom management. First day of the class, we should not start our class right away. Instead,    orient the students regarding the does and don’ts of the class in a way that the students will be aware of your policy. And imposed some punishment that in able the students to abide your rules. It is not bad to impose some punishment because it is a way of disciplining our student. Other strategy with that is having a pretest examination to your students; it is a way testing the knowledge the students have. It is also the way of determining what are level of intelligent that  they have and you can able to determine what are the appropriate methods and strategies that you will a apply to them
                On the last scene where one of the students approach tom his teacher and said ” l have learned nothing” with that line, maybe you’re teaching methods. It is a challenge for us that the students can able to acquired learning in our teaching. We should apply an appropriate teaching strategies and methods that in able the students can learn with your teaching. There was a possibility that there is a problem to the students, to the environment and also as you as their teacher. And try to examine among those problems, what problem that can lead the students can say that they have learn nothing.

"The Art of Questioning"





          This topic was reported by Ms. Dhoriza Jean Loreto. Creating questions was very difficult because it will always refer to the capacity of the learners. There are 3 types of question, we have the according to thinking process which involves from low level to high level, according to the type of answers required and the last was according to the degree of person exploration or valuing. These serves as their guide in making good questions that the students can easily get the idea of what the question referring to.
          In addition with that, there are some descriptive categories of questions. These are the cognitive memory questions, convergent questions, divergent questions and evaluation questions. These are the guide also on what type of questions that you will formulate to them in the level of the capacity of the learners. In making a question; we should apply the characteristics and techniques to achieve good and understandable questions. Make sure that in the questions that you’ve made you can truly answer on it. It is ironic to hear that in your own selves and you cannot answer your question, how about your students? Therefore, make  questions that was simple and clear.

"Laboratory Method"




This topic was reported by Mr. Allan Bruces Jr. It is one of the common methods that the teachers usually used in teaching computer class subject. The students usually do hands on, in the computer to perform and apply what they have learned from the teachers. Always remember that in applying this method, have an orientation first to your students regarding the rules and regulations in the laboratory. It is the way on preventing any damages that will unexpectedly happens on the time of the laboratory.
          Laboratory method was very important because individuals will be working on the different activities given by the teacher. With that, they can gain experience through by themselves. Therefore, the students can learn and it is hard for them to forget those learning’s because the learners had given the opportunities to get the real experiences. With that matter, it is hard for them to forget and there is a tendency that it will store into their memory.

"Classroom Management"




Classroom management was the first and foremost that the teacher should know. Why? If you are a teacher and yet you don’t know how to manage your class, what will be the output on it? The effort of your students of attending in the class as well as your teacher will be useless.
          As a teacher before entering in a classroom you had already on your mind on how you will handle your class because there are different attitudes and behaviors that you will be meet. There is a lot of problems that will exist while your class is going on and how you will find solutions regarding that matter. The teacher should maintain better approaches on how these behavioral problems can be minimized to a tolerable level. And also the teacher cannot teach well if they cannot handle their students because they will not follow and listen to your discussion. In the end, they will learn nothing.

"Seminar"

  This topic was reported by Mr. Rico Ricopuerto. Seminar was rampant to us. As students, we always undergo and had experienced seminar. What is seminar? Seminar is a deliberative body looking for the solution to the problem from the evidence based on reading, experiences and minds of its participants. Talking about seminar, it always have a speaker and also a participants, without these two, there is no such seminar will happen.
          As a future teacher we can have this seminar, not participants this time but one of the speakers of a certain seminar. In preparing for the discussion in seminar, always remember the steps of it. The first was How complex seminar problem is, Second How much of an expert leader and the last step the leader is in guiding through the process. Try to store these questions into our mind and we should apply these steps in order to have an effective and well presentable discussion towards on your participants. it is your tool also that in order the participants not to get bored on your discussion.

"LEARNING MODULE AS INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS"




This topic was reported by Ms. Cheene Rose Cayabo. According to her, learning module was the most accepted instructional materials. It is one of the good learning materials in teaching. Why? It is important because it serves as their guide and study materials towards their lessons. All the information that was needed to their study is present. All have to do on the part of the students is to follow and comprehend what are contents in the module. As a teacher, if were using this type of instructional materials we need to guide our students because they are some topics that were hard for them to
understand. We need to have further explanation about the different topics. We should not rely on the module. Module was one of the instruments that the students have the concrete materials to be study and also have the notes for the lessons that we will need to study in advance.

                In making module there are criteria that will need to follow in order to have a good instructional module. Without these criteria, we cannot make a good and understandable module. And always remember the components in making module.

"POSTCRIPT-SOME RANDOM THOUGHTS ON DEMONSTRATION"




What is more applicable to learn a lot a little or a little a lot? These questions that arise remind us what are the does and don’ts in having a demonstration.
           





In having demonstration we should not be hurry in presenting. Why? There is a tendency that the students cannot follow what you are talking about because you are too fast. The best thing for that was present it step by step and enough that the students can cope up. If you are too fast with your demonstration, you have a lot of topics that the students will be able to learn. But, you are too fast the learning’s of the students will be useless. It is what we called you have learned a lot a little.
Even though, the students can learn few topics but it is profitable because you have demonstrated it into a proper way. The students can master and they will be able to demonstrate and perform it all by their selves.
In addition with that as a teacher you should be aware of what is happening in your class. You should be a good observant and sensitive enough with the behavior and movements of your students. Always bear on your mind that your students/learners have zero knowledge and skill in what you have demonstrating in the class.

"Demonstration Method, Lecture and Meta-cognition"



This topic was reported by Ms. Arcelyn Villaver, there are three method of teachings that she discussed there are the demonstration method, lecture method and Meta-cognition Teaching method.
                These are the methods that usually used by the teachers. In selecting our methods in teaching we should put into our mind that this method was suited to our lessons and can really understand what we are talking about.
                As a future teacher, the best  method that was suitable to used was the demonstration method. Why? It is because we are teaching computer subject. And therefore, it is more on demonstration. In applying these method consider the (5) five steps in demonstration methods which are the purposing, planning, demonstration proper, executing and evaluation.It is one of  the good method  that in order the students to  acquire learning. Remember that in using the method don’t be too fast, and be sensitive on the behavior  and movements of your students as you presenting your demonstration

Lecture Method is the old type of method use in teaching, in other words,  this method is a traditional wherein the teacher’s task is to discuss his/her topic to the class. During this period the students usually got bored. As a teacher we should find techniques that we can catch the attention our students and they will be eager to listen while you are having your discussion.
Meta-Cognition is a process which includes planning, monitoring one’s own thoughts; problem solving, making decisions and evaluating one’s thought process. It is beyond our critical thinking. As a teacher we should have a broad knowledge regarding our lessons that in able the students can understand what you are talking about. Because if you don’t mastered your topic and you are hesitant the way you teach. Therefore, the students will never believe you. Remember that you are teacher not students.


"Methods of Teaching"





    This topic was reported by Mr. Junamel Nuñez. A method of teaching comprises the principles and methods used for instruction. The choice of teaching method, it always depends on the information that you will teach to them. The methods that are suitable to the lessons and also the method that we used to the learners that they can easily understand the lessons that we tackle.

    It has a great impact to the students if we can used the best method that in able the students to acquired learning’s and knowledge from the topic and the same time at the teachers. There are three methods that were reported these are the inductive method, deductive method and the project method. Inductive is defined from the specific to general while the deductive method is from the general to the specific. The project method is significant, practical unit of activity of a problematic nature, planned and carried to completion by the student in a nature manner and involving the use of physical materials to complete the unit of experience. The good example of this method was the science Investigatory project. It is a challenging on the part of the students because they are the one who will discover and find ways on how to find a solution on the specific problems.

"Drill Lesson"


    This topic was discussed by Ms. Ruelene Cabatuan. The drill lesson is intended for automatization of certain facts, information, habit, attitudes and skills to fix association for permanency or to perfect a certain degree a particular skill. Therefore, as a teacher we should not be contented that were having only a discussion on the topics that we had. Instead, having a drill lesson in order the students can be more interested in your topics. Aside from that they can learn through their own experiences in which they can apply the learning’s that they had from the discussion. Remember that in doing this drill we should apply the four guidelines which are the motivation, focalization, repetition and attention and application. It is a big help on the side of the teachers it is their technique on how the students to be more participative from their class discussion.
The application lesson refers to the type of learning instruction that gives the learners the opportunity to relate, express and apply what they have learned. As a teacher, it is your choice what kind of application that you may apply to the students and application that the students can gain interest and they will be challenge. Either it is individual partner or by group. And an activity that was related and covered on your discussion.

"Types of Lessons"



There are several types of lessons namely the developmental lesson, supervised study lesson, review lesson and appreciation lesson. These types of lessons were reported by Mr. Ghei El Bungabong and Frelyn Salimbagat. From the lesson I’ve learned that developmental lesson is a type of learning in which a new idea that is presented and learned is developed. And it has two types the formal and informal, the formal developmental lesson was the deductive and inductive method. The informal is using the method of conversational approach in which teacher and learner exchange ideas through question and answer. The supervised study lesson is a type of learning that is effective under the direction and guidance of the teacher, this type of lesson is most applicable in activities that needs supervision of the teacher example the laboratory activities and the group study and the group discussion.
Appreciation lesson is designed to instruct the class to understand, appreciate and enjoy something. It is important that the teacher could make this type of lessons because it is the way on how the students will appreciate the lessons and they can find joy while having the different activities.
Review lesson was usually happened before the new lesson will discussed into the class. Why? It is the time to retain in the minds of the students the lessons that was already discussed. Then, the students can relate it to the new lessons that will be going to discuss.
